I'm Ryan, a Product Designer and UX Leader with 8+ years of experience.

My passion is to use design thinking and human-centered strategies to understand people's behaviors and ultimately design solutions that meet their needs. I love to quickly sketch ideas, get them in the hands of users and embrace the iterative cycle of learning.

I'm currently looking for my next opportunity. Want to connect?

The power of design sprints & storytelling

In 2018, I led an initiative at Quest Diagnostics to determine if the company should invest in relaunching its iOS app. After researching why people use native apps, I ran a design sprint with key stakeholders to generate ideas and then created an interactive prototype that told the story of our key personas. Hear their story and how the project was ultimately green-lit.

Bringing human to technology

In 2017, I worked on the Test Directory at Quest Diagnostics. Our stakeholder group wanted  to improve the filter functionality citing Amazon. After traveling onsite to observe and interview users, it became clear the problem wasn't rooted in lacking the ability to filter, but rather the confidence of picking the right test. Learn how we brought confidence to our users and improved the experience.
